A DOCtor for the community
Theresa Wong, MD is the sole owner, founder, and physician of W Geriatrics. Born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley of California, she speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Spanish. She graduated from UC San Diego Medical School (2017), UC San Francisco Internal Medicine Residency (2020), and UC San Francisco Geriatric Medicine Fellowship (2021). After several years as a geriatrician in Seattle, WA, she is now thrilled to come home and serve her community.
Why she chose geriatrics?

Outside of work, Dr. Wong enjoys cooking new seasonal recipes, looking for the perfect sunscreen, and playing tennis in the shade.

she was really responsive and even called the pharmacy directly to understand what her medications were since my mom couldn't speak English that well or knew her medications in English - Dr. Wong's mandarin is so helpful with those who don't speak English well in a medical setting.

Finally, while she does have a very impressive training background, what's even more notable is what a genuine pleasure it is to get to interact with her. She is extremely empathetic and cares genuinely about our health and well-being. She has treated us like we are her family.
